People wear me out...

You know, I can be contrary and argumentative. However, it seems that for some, that is the only way they know how to be. It's truly exhausting when you're reading a message board with people that can hide behind a screen name, and they use that annonymity to constantly rail against one member in particular, followed closely by a second member. Oddly enough, the two that get hammered upon (who certainly can be annoying, so I'm not saying that some of it isn't "deserved") use their actual name and EVERYONE not only knows who they are, but could likely spot them at a distance if they were to see them in the community. What likely makes it more tiresome for me is that I know who two of the "mystery men" are! They've sat at my table for dinner, drank my beer/wine, swam in my pool, and I've gotten the son of one of them off to school in the a.m. (feeding him breakfast and taking him to the bus). It kind of changes my opinion about them.

It just gets weary reading negative, contrary, argumentative posts so I've lately been "lurking" and thus when I post, it's after careful consideration cuz I have to log in to the site to add my $.02

I love caller i.d....

Sometimes it's difficult to be on the phone due to surroundings (and, I hate the phone, but nevermind that), so I let calls go to voice-mail.

Today, the friggin' north wind was blowing at least a million miles an hour, and I was outside, at an airshow. Not quiet, intimate, surroundings at all! However, my phone rang and it was one of my most-favorite people, so I answered it! It was hard to hear her, and maybe hard for her to hear me too, with the wind whipping everywhere, but it was good to hear her voice. We have a loose plan to get together when I'm in her neck of the woods in June. Doesn't matter if we only see each other for lunch (or less), but we'll make the most of whatever time we get! (and if she's in Cali and can have visitors, I see a 'road trip' in my future...unless I'm in TX when she's in CA...)

The other way cool part? I was just thinking of her yesterday! I love it when I'm thinking of someone and wah-la! They either call, or our paths cross somewhere!

That was easy...

If you just not do something in the appointed amount of time, your "privileges" for continuing to do it get revoked.

All of a sudden, I feel like I've got some time on my hands.

As soon as I fininsh doing all this eff'n bookwork for the former 'privilege'.

Gotta love tax time...
