Halfway...

I've had a bee in my bonnet for weeks now. I've wanted to repaint our room with darker colors. Originally a very pale lavender (Martha Stewart's 'Veronica') and a light cream color (MS 'Sand Dollar'). The toilet/shower area is 'Veronica' and the dressing area is 'Farm Fresh' (a green that looks like guacamole). When you walk in the room, the back wall with the window is 'Veronica'. That color goes up over the top of the closets/plant shelves, then down the wall where my closet door and the door to the toilet/shower are.

Well. That was true yesterday! That wall with the doors and the area above the closets/plant shelves is now Behr's 'Peruvian Violet'. I stopped in that corner and chose to not to the wall with the window cuz it. is. so. dark. I love it! I started with Sherwin-Williams' 'Basket Beige' and it too is dark. I knew it would be as we painted it at Jeff and Eve's last weekend. I love the contrast of the two colors. Only thing that seems VERY different is that the room looks much smaller now!

Anyhoo, I've made it to the edge of the bed. As soon as the Lord of the Manor arises, I'll go about moving the furniture and prepping the baseboards. I think I got the purple covered, so I can clean up my tools, but I'll wait and look later as the light changes in the room.

I think I'll go up on the 'Basket Beige' paint chip a couple notches and get paint to do the hallway!

When you run out of walls at your house, I've got Em's entire room, our entire room and half of the workroom that needs painting....
