Pants
Have I mentioned that I hate to shop?
It doesn't help that I look like a cow and all of the cute things are meant for people that are 3-4 sizes smaller. Ugh. Doesn't help that "petite" pants usually fit great and the length is fine until I put shoes on. Then it looks as if I'm waiting for a flood.
So today I went to The Gap and Eddie Bauer outlet stores. I was looking for jeans, maybe some new tops, and also keeping my eye open for a dress to wear to a May wedding in Las Vegas.
In the women's section, in both stores, the women's jeans (well, a LOT of pants) have "stretch" in them. That always feels great when you first put them on, but by the end of the day, they're too loose and, really, the fabric just doesn't look right. I ended up with jeans from the mens section! I can get them in the length that fits! No 'highwaters' and no having to hem the ones that fit everywhere but the length! Only problem is that the waist isn't more 'fitted'. Shouldn't matter, not like I tuck in my shirt or wear cropped tops!
The dress shopping was a dud. Things were too casual, and/or too 'winter-y' still.
I also got a SCREAMIN' loud orange-y/coral short-sleeved shirt!
Wheeeeeeee!
