Dinner with the guys...

It's a soccer function, and I'll be the d-driver of the 'carpool'. Last month I was asked by a guy formerly on our board (he's gone to the league now) if I wanted to be his 'date' for this month's appreciation dinner. Uhhhhhhhhh...told him I'd have to get back to him. Actually, our club prez should be there, but he's got some other iron's in his fire and couldn't commit, so I made up his mind for him! We'll be honoring an out-going league board member that volunteered thousands of hours to bring soccer to our area. When it was time for our club to break away from another club, she was most helpful getting it launched. Since P and I are the only 'original' board members still serving, one of us should be there. Although, in his absence our vp should be at the meeting. So, I invited our vp since the attendee can bring a guest. Former board member is the kind of guy that I don't want to be alone in the car with for 45 minutes (round trip), so D will 'save' me from him!

What ought to be interesting is they'll both inquire about what P has just offered our school district. Sorry guys, thats confidential. I could tell you, but then I'd have to kill you, and I just cleaned the car.

The exciting part? It's MEXICAN FOOD!!! I LOVE Mexican food, and FREE Mexican food is even better!
