How's yer toilet seat?
Friends from Texas came to visit at the end of January. On my 'to-do' list for a long time was "change the toilet seat in the hall bath" and this visit prompted me to just get in there and do it. Except I couldn't. The nut had somehow corroded onto the bolt so I couldn't do it. I was all apologetic about it and the joke was how ridiculous it sounded that I would change the toilet seat when company was coming and most typically tidy up the house! Thankfully, my husband was able to get the seat changed so they were able to use a nice seat before their time here was up.
So the other day I was looking at the ceiling above the wood stove. It was kind of dark and I figured it was soot and would simply need to be repainted. I hate painting ceilings so I wasn't looking forward to that chore. However, in my cleaning craze today, I discovered that it wasn't soot at all! It was simply cobwebs that were dirty! I vacuumed that up and feel MUCH better!
Toilet seat is still in good shape; fan blades are clean; dirty cobwebs have been dealt with.
Things are lookin' up around here!
